Product Introduction

Solar array drive assembly (SADA) drives the solar array to track the sun for maximizing solar array energy generation. SADA consists of solar array drive mechanism (SADM) and solar array drive electronics (SADE).

SADE decodes control commands from on-board computer and controls the SADM's rotation, and send solar array position to on-board computer. SADM transfers electricity and signals between solar array and satellite platform.

Main Functions of SADA:

  • Withstand load in ground test,launch,orbit maneuver and in-orbit operation phase
  • Receive control command, control and drive SADA to perform actions according to the working mode
  • Transmit energy and related telemetry signals

 

Primary Operation Mode:

  • Fast sun tracking mode: search and track the sun
  • Sun tracking mode: track the sun as satellite moves in orbit
  • Orbit control mode: drive the solar array for minimal windward area
